Sound & Vision India is an internationally acclaimed dubbing group in India, having dubbed hundreds of Hollywood movies and thousands of TV shows for leading Multinational TV channels and movie producers worldwide.
Being pioneers in dubbing evolution, dubbing is now carried out in studios in Mumbai, Chennai, Hyderabad and even Malaysia.
The company specializes mainly in multilingual adaptations of content into English, Hindi, Tamil and Telugu, besides other regional languages such as Bengali, Punjabi, Bhojpuri, Oriya, Gujarati, Kannada, Malayalam, Assamese and Marathi etc. it also boasts of foreign language dubs such as Tibetan, French, Mandarin and Japanese.
Sound & Vision India has six audio suites in Mumbai with Mono, Stereo and 5.1 mixing facilities besides recording, editing, and storage facilities and is by far the single largest dubbing company in India with unmatched staff strength and infrastucture.
The people
Sound & Vision India was started by LeelaGhosh, an established singer, voice artiste and copywriter; when sherealized the need and potential of dubbed content in India in 1993. She brings with her a strong educational background (MA in Social Anthropology), rigorous training in the fields of music and dance and vast experience in the field of Indian Tourism. She actively promoted India abroad by writing books on India, singing as a performing artiste all over the world, while working as a copywriter and voice artiste in the advertising industry for over 20 years.
She has personally directed the dubs of most of the major Hollywood films released in India and received not only great acclaim for the quality of her work. She has also receivedgreat appreciation for her efficiency, professionalism and timely delivery standards along with great sensitivity to market forces and price points. This haswhich have kept the company evolving constantly and growing at an unimaginable speed to stay ahead of competition.
Her skill lies in adapting dialogue and musical content to merge different cultures and languages seamlessly.Even in the face of opposition arising out of seeing different races and faces speak languages considered alien to them while also speaking of alien concepts. Recognizing this skill, several Hollywood studios like Sony Pictures, Paramount Films and Disney have invited LeelaGhosh to participate in dubbing conventions all over the world to discuss the technicalities, finer nuances and challenges faced while transcending cultures.
Among all the awards and felicitations she has been bestowed with through her illustrious career, is the DADASAHEB PHALKE AWARD for her contribution to the field of voicing.
She has also produced and directed short films and Tv programs like Gurukul on Indian culture and traditions.
The company is now jointly managed by LeelaGhosh’sdaughter MonaShetty, a well established voice artiste herself since the age of 5. Mona has not only lent her voice to most major advertising campaigns for leading brands in English, Hindi, Bengali and Oriya but also been the Hindi voice of several leading actresses in Hollywood as well as Bollywood.
She is currently the approved voice for Cameron Diaz, Angelina Jolie, Kate Beckinsale, Kirsten Dunst, Halle Berry, Zoe Saldanha, Drew Barrymore, Catherine Zeta Jones, DeepikaPadukone, Katrina Kaif and many more leading actresses.
She has in the past also dubbed for RaniMukherjee, Kajol, Amisha Patel, BipashaBasu, Lara Dutta, KoenaMitra and many other actresses in several films.
She has also acted in short films and Tv commercials and hosted a TV show for children called PLAYHOUSE DISNEY
